Q: "Have you had an internship, or participated in a Study Abroad or Study in American program?"
A: "I have participated in an internship in college and I was a foreign exchange student between high school and college."

Q: "What do you think should be done to make these programs more accessible to students?"
A: "Obviously, there should be more publicity about it. I think that staff, as well as faculty, knew about them then they could encourage students to participate. I firmly believe that an international experience is important and I really think that the internship experience is important. And I spend a lot of time talking to students that if I knew about those details and specifics, that I could encourage them to participate. So I think especially making sure that the university community knows about them."

Q: "How do you think students could benefit from these programs?"
A: "It opens their eyes to the rest of the world. Often times they're in their comfort zone and so they have to learn to live outside of that comfort zone. It also gives them an incredible experience in a place where they may not ever get to go back or they may not have ever thought they could go in the first place and it changes their perspective. It changes how they look at the world and we hear all the time that that's how the world's going to be a better place -- is one person at a time and that's really what needs to happen."

Q: "Do you think there are any downsides to participating in the program?"
A: "I think for a lot of students, it's the cost. But it's not overwhelming, there are ways to fund that. You can often find scholarship and sponsors and that kind of thing. It's just a matter of being willing to do the work."
