Zachary Smith is a 21-year-old transfer student. He began his college education at Stephen F. Austin, then transferred to Santa Fe Art and Design and is now settled at Texas State University majoring in Digital Media Innovation.

Zachary is not only a student but an entrepreneur who co-created a website called schmooger.com. The website is geared toward trends based on your location and are most importantly, Instagram worthy. Excitingly enough, Zachary, as well as his co-creator, presented their website to the Howard Hughes Corporation over Christmas break 2017. Zachary said the idea came to him when he met Scott Paul, former Vice President at Makers Studios for Disney, and it has taken off since then.

My interaction with Zachary Smith was very intriguing, he was extremely forthcoming with his information and left me feeling as though he will do more great things after he has graduated from Texas State University. His passion and drive for the tech industry, as well as discovering new things, left me believing I could definitely learn a lot of from him!

Because of an allergy that plays a huge role in her 20-years of life, Hallie has become quite the cook. She is allergic to corn which happens to be in mostly everything food packaging and the food industry has to offer. Eating out is no easy task and buying processed foods are no good so instead she creates her own dishes. Nellie Perry is a 20 year-old sophomore at Texas State University, who is majoring in Journalism and Mass Communications, concentrating in Digital Media. She is from a small beach town on the coast of Texas named Palacios. Her love for living near a body of water made the San Marcos River one of the deciding factors in attending Texas State. Another deciding factor was that Perry enjoys reading and writing, and wanted to pursue an English degree at Texas State. Once at the school she discovered that although she took pleasure in narrative writing, she was better suited for expository writing, resulting in changing her major to Journalism and Mass Communications. Perry still makes time to enjoy her hobbies of reading and writing but she also spends her time working towards a Journalism and Mass Communications degree, getting involved with political organizations at the university, and working as a server at Texas Roadhouse.
