Hallie Colbert is a Junior attending Texas State University. Hallie’s Major is Mass Communications with a specific focus in Digital Media.

She finds that this area of study is the best occupation that fits her vast style of learning and skill criteria, ultimately allowing her to dabble in many different career paths.

As much as she loves to learn, Hallie loves to teach. When she isn’t making her 45 minute commute to campus, Hallie is tutoring a history student or teaching her 1 of 2 yoga classes.

Hallie spends her free time enjoying the outside world. She loves long walks in the park, loves to adventure in the wilderness and take photos of mother nature. She also enjoys reading and her favorite genre to read is historical fiction or slice of life novels, books that teach you about life.

Because of an allergy that plays a huge role in her 20-years of life, Hallie has become quite the cook. She is allergic to corn which happens to be in mostly everything food packaging and the food industry has to offer. Eating out is no easy task and buying processed foods are no good so instead she creates her own dishes. Her diet consists mainly of proteins such as chicken, beef, and fish along with vegetables in every dish.

Nellie Perry is a 20 year-old sophomore at Texas State University, who is majoring in Journalism and Mass Communications, concentrating in Digital Media. She is from a small beach town on the coast of Texas named Palacios. Her love for living near a body of water made the San Marcos River one of the deciding factors in attending Texas State. Another deciding factor was that Perry enjoys reading and writing, and wanted to pursue an English degree at Texas State. Once at the school she discovered that although she took pleasure in narrative writing, she was better suited for expository writing, resulting in changing her major to Journalism and Mass Communications. Perry still makes time to enjoy her hobbies of reading and writing but she also spends her time working towards a Journalism and Mass Communications degree, getting involved with political organizations at the university, and working as a server at Texas Roadhouse.
